Today Boys 1, 2 and I walked the boundary walk at Chopwell Woods.

Near the start of the walk the boys found a special half deflated helium balloon with “Happy 28th Birthday Mammy” printed in pink. Inside the plastic exterior were four inner balloons. They loved it, and it kept them entertained most of the way round – the latter half as a punching bag. I wondered about how it had escaped it’s owner, and what they would say if they saw it tied round Boy 1’s waist!
Earlier in the morning we had some paddling pool fun, and saw a beautiful coloured bug – which I’ve discovered is an adult hawthorn shield bug.
