Today Boy 1 and I returned home from our two night stay at Stockton on Tees, and had an evening walk (after the rain stopped) at Watergate Forest Park, Gateshead.
This summer I’ve shared regular updates of what we’ve been up to during the school holidays – you can see a summary at our 2020: 42 Activities of Summer page.
At Watergate there are a few route options. We like the red one which is three miles, with regular scenery changes. Here’s a relive video of our walk
And some photos …
Boy 1 and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Stockton on Tees (Teesside) Premier Inn. We were located next to Tees Barrage International White Water Centre and Air Trail Tees Barrage which were great to explore.
Each evening, there were open air sports classes underway including running, circuits and karate, and we saw seals in the river. Teesside Park with several restaurants, shops, a cinema and bowling was just a 15 minute walk, which was handy as the Beefeater restaurant next to the Premier Inn has not yet re-opened.
Did you know today was the last PE with Joe on YouTube? We watched for nostalgia, whilst eating the remains of our Pizza Hut takeaway from last night for breakfast! Thank you Joe and family for keeping us fit and a part of something special during lockdown xxx
Have you been to Watergate Forest Park? Or Stockton on Tees?
