Last week I saw Official Secrets at the Cinema
“The true story of a British whistleblower who leaked information to the press about an illegal NSA spy operation designed to push the UN Security Council into sanctioning the 2003 invasion of Iraq.” IMDB
Keira Knightly is great as the GCHQ (Government Communication Headquarters) staff member who goes against protocol to try to stop the war, and I particularly liked Ralph Fiennes character as the lawyer she enlists to help defend her.
It’s truly shocking this happened in our lifetime, less than 20 years ago, with our Prime Minister at the centre.
I give this 8/10, and highly recommend a watch.
Was the whistleblower right to do what she did? Would you have done the same?
