Last weekend we visited Belsay Castle, my favourite English Heritage location in the North East.
On arrival we picked up belated Easter egg trails (£1 to answer eight questions for some dragon (mini eggs)). Dad and I had to Google some of the answers about the history of the estate.

We walked round the house, through the gardens and climbed to the top of the castle. We also tried the Crag Wood walk for the first time which passes a beautiful lake before joining a circular springy underfoot forest path for a few kilometres.Have you been to Belsay?
